Must Habits and Learnings for Children

Here are few things that I have experienced being born and brought up in an Indian Family.

Childhood plays an important role in everyone's life because it is the foundation of what we actually become, how we behave and or end up being something else.

There are very few things I have learnt in my childhood. I wish I had knew few more to save myself and finding myself crying in middle of the night sometimes.

I don't know why Indian parents do not open up with children in case of sensitive topics like financial needs, the role of money in one's life, sex,  sexual harassment, Good touch and Bad touch etc the list is long.

I wish I had knew about following or someone responsible should have explained me earlier. 

Things we read in books does not fulfill the curiosity of teenage minds. Parents and Techers are responsible for the same.

1. Good Touch and Bad Touch 

Why? Because i should have saved myself from being sexually harassed by my own family members. I was a child but it is still horrifying and those were the darkest days of my life.

2. How to respond if you sense a bad touch?

I didn't know, no one taught me but monstrous people do exist all the time around you.

3. Attraction towards people during teenage.

It happens to all of us but someone should take responsibility to explain the science behind it. And it's normal by the way.

4. Periods? Puberty?

Again things we read in books are not giving enough practical knowledge. How body changes, how body reacts to certain things can easily be discussed with teenager.

5. Money..

What role does money play in one's life. How to use money and of course make money?

6.How to deal with disrespecting man?

I'm bad at this because when you look up to a woman how does she deals with disrespecting man I'm lost then and there.

Start developing power to take stand for yourself.

7.Why people discriminate between a girl and a boy, a daughter and a son.

I have grown up in a male dominating surroundings where you are always made realize that you are less than a boy, a brother, a man.

I ask WHY?

Man and Woman both equally deserves respect and status. 

These life lessons should be definitely discussed with growing children. Parents can do everything good for their children but they have to first take the initiative. It is very much important that children should be smart enough to deal with such situations. Rather than losing themselves in the world of smart gadgets and electronics products.

I wish I could go back and change my childhood, and remove all the bad memories from it but that's not possible.

People should start acting before their children end up in a situation that is irreversible.
